Try before you buy scheme

Mamaruga Zensling newborn carrying try before you buy
We offer try before you buy on a number of our products. This scheme allows you to try out your chosen carrier for two weeks before deciding whether or not it is the right option for you. You can then choose to either pay to keep your carrier, or return it for a partial refund.
The try before you buy scheme is perfect for you if:
  • You are pretty sure which carrier is right for you.
  • You just want to try the carrier with your baby to be 100% certain before paying the full price.
  • You would like to spread the cost over 2 payments
The try before you buy scheme is NOT for you if:

How does the try before you buy scheme work?

The try before you buy scheme gives you time to try a carrier out properly to make certain that it is the right one for you. You have two weeks within which you can try and return the carrier to us.

To start with you pay 40% of the cost of the carrier upfront. At the end of the two weeks you can either choose to pay the remaining 60%, or you can return the carrier to us and we will refund you the amount you paid you paid minus £15 to cover the two weeks trial. You can see the breakdown of costs on each product and we will keep you updated with reminder emails throughout.

For example, if you chose a carrier that costs £100 you would pay £40 straight away. After two weeks you could choose to either pay the balance of £60 to keep the carrier, or you could return it to us and we would refund you £40 – £15 = £25.

To keep the carrier

If you decide to keep the carrier you won’t need to do anything. You will receive a notification that the balance payment of 60% will be taken in the days leading up to the payment.

Once the balance payment has been taken the carrier is officially yours! Enjoy.

If you decide not to keep the carrier

If you decide not to keep the carrier then please return it, with your name clearly stated to the address in our returns policy.

The carrier must be returned within your 2 week trial period.

If the carrier is returned undamaged, with all its parts and packaging within your trial period then we will refund you the amount you paid minus the £15 fee for postage and your trial period.

Some common questions

What is the difference between Try before you buy and the standard 30 days return policy?
Try before you buy
  1. We expect you to use the carrier as though it were your own. Take it out for dog walks. Don’t panic if your baby spits up on a strap. This happens when you use a carrier!
  2. Keep all packaging and manuals, but we understand if the plastic bag gets torn,
  3. Your carrier will be ineligible for the 30 days returns policy following your trial period, because it has been used, rather than tried on.
  4. Return postage is not free/included in the cost unless the wrong item was sent to you or it arrived damaged or faulty.
Standard 30 days return policy
  1. You can try the carrier on. You may not use it for a significant period of time. You cannot remove labels, wash the carrier, get the carrier dirty or use it in any way that impacts its sale as a new carrier.
  2. You must keep all packaging and manuals intact.
  3.  Your carrier is eligible for the 30 days return policy as long as you only try it on, as per conditions in item 1..
  4. Return postage is not free/included in the cost unless the wrong item was sent to you or it arrived damaged or faulty.

Try before you buy

  2.  You will receive a carrier that may have been hired and washed before.
  3. We do not usually sell the carriers that people hire.
